Laminated Bags

Laminated Bags:

Coated polypropylene bags, known as laminated bags, consist of two layers: an inner layer made of polypropylene and an outer layer made of polyethylene or a mixture of polyethylene and polypropylene. To produce these bags, polypropylene threads are first manufactured and woven. Then, molten polyethylene is applied as an external coating to cover the produced film. These bags have better properties in terms of durability, strength, weight-bearing capacity, and resistance to moisture penetration and material leakage compared to simple polypropylene bags. The inner polypropylene layer provides excellent strength and tear resistance to the bag, while the polyethylene coating prevents moisture and dust from entering and materials from leaking out. Thus, this type of packaging is suitable for various industries such as food, agricultural products, chemical fertilizers, construction, and textiles, which are sensitive to moisture, expensive, hazardous, or heavy. This coating also improves printability. In addition to the two-layer laminated bags, there is another type of bag that includes an outer paper layer. This layer not only adds to the bag’s aesthetic appeal but also enhances printability.
